McCownGordon Construction’s Kansas business unit leader relocates to Wichita Office

Wichita, KS. (July 10, 2020) – Todd Knight, vice president of the Kansas business unit of McCownGordon Construction, relocated to Wichita this week to provide additional support as the company prepares to ramp up its growth in the region. Todd will continue to be heavily involved in providing strategic leadership for both of McCownGordon’s Kansas offices in Wichita and Manhattan.

“As we continue to grow our company, it makes sense for Todd to lead his business unit work from our Wichita office, where we see opportunities throughout the region,” said Ramin Cherafat, chief executive officer. “Todd is a member of our corporate Leadership Team and we believe his presence in the Wichita community will enable us to continue our growth trajectory over the longer term.”

Knight played an instrumental role in establishing McCownGordon as one of Kansas’ largest general contractors and is highly involved in driving the strategic mission of the company. He already serves on the Executive Board of the Greater Wichita Partnership and plans to engage actively in the business and civic community, furthering McCownGordon’s commitment to serving the communities where its employee owners live and work.

Knight brings more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry to the region. His management approach focuses on strategy, commitment, efficiency and follow-through. He’s led projects in a variety of market sectors, including healthcare, senior care, education, retail, corporate, mixed use and hospitality. Knight is a LEED Accredited Professional, received training from the American Society of Healthcare Engineers, US Green Building Council and Dale Carnegie. He  is a member of numerous chambers of commerce including Manhattan, Salina and Topeka in addition to Wichita.
